Two Days Later

Yesterday I missed my flight to Omaha. I think I’ll tool around here and then head back sooner than later. Also yesterday, some time between showings, three young men, maybe 20 years old walked in to the Morgellon and said “So what movies are you playing in your movie theater”. Jacked talked to them for a while and I heard one of them say something like “Oh, so this isn’t a regular movie theater?”. I think it would be cool to get Jack set up on the blog, because I’m sure she would have some things to write about.
yesssss! thanks for getting jackie set up on the blog and thanks to both you and erin for continuing to blog. i keep having dreams that i’m still there in the space embroiled in the project. i wake up confused, thinking i’m taking a nap on the scaffolding which has become surprisingly comfortable. so, no, the project is not over; it will not be over for a long time. things got incredibly stressful and it was difficult - if not impossible - to avoid participating in certain dynamics that were probably damaging. but aside from some lingering confusion, i think of disembody as a positive experience. i am glad to have met all of lee’s other collaborators, i am glad that nightmarecity grew, and i am glad that something pulled me out of my personal lethargy and gave me some good questions to think about. and i’m really glad that our janky-janky-jankity-jank job fooled some people. that is some awesome validation, and probably better than the name-in-lights, rolling in money kind. i wouldn’t mind rolling in some money, though.
