List 4: Deadlines

June 28, 2008

Lee @ 8:39 pm

Okay this is the hard one - deadlines.

To be honest I’m not sure I have the slightest clue this will be even remotely comprehensive. PLEASE point out it’s many imperfections and oversights.

After August 3rd:
any orders for items - perfume, catalogues, arcades, posters, architectural models - will need to be made and delivered.

By August 3rd, 2008:
Fringe should be returned to its original state.
Lee, Amy and Skye will be doing this. It should be something to see. Think Normandy.
The scaffolding must be returned.
Anything not given away or sold must be disposed of at the dump. Amy wants all of the 2×4s and 2×6s and facing materials for her loft. I reckon the only thing we’ll really need to throw out is the hundreds of hours of work Keturah and Carol-Anne are investing in the project. Sucks to be them.
We’ll need a truck to do these two things, so I’ll rent one and need to return it.
Somehow the popcorn machine is returned to SF. Hopefully a truck rental is not required. Maybe Carol-Anne can be bribed.

July 27th:
Jackie flies home

July 20th-26th:
Lee and Jackie usher at the theater 1pm to 9pm every day.
Skye and Amy have lots of fun in LA, occasionally stopping by the Morgellon to taunt Lee and Jackie.
Jackie learns to either love or loathe conceptual art. This could go either way depending on how she feels about being bored, lonely and sweaty.

July 20th:
Most everyone flies or drives home.
Before the 1pm opening of the Morgellon, most everything is taken out of the production center, IT office and tool storage.

July 19th:
Jackie is picked up at the airport.

List 3: Automobiles

June 28, 2008

Lee @ 6:56 pm

Cars

Parking is another thing I’m trying to comprehend.

We are reserving five spots at the parking lot by Fringe.
Yes, you heard me right - reserved spots, my bitches! YOU ARE HOLLYWOOD NOW!

Besides parking at the gallery, we hve limited parking around my folks. Nothing reserved, sorry.

Please let me know if you are on this list erroneously, or not:

Carthay Circle Offices has six parking spots:
Arthur
Janet
Alex
David
Phil/Libby
Carol

Boyle Heights Offices has two or three or more, I reckon:
Amy
Skye?
elise?

the Morgellon has five:
Carol
David
Phil/Libby
Alex
Amy

and that will probably change all day every day, actually, especially if Skye or elise have cars

I think transporting people from Boyle Heights will be easy. At worst it may be crowded in the one vehicle coming from there.
Carthay may have problems moving people.
Our call time is 7am at the gallery for an 8am viewing of the dailies.
It takes 30-40 minutes to get to the gallery at that hour, from Carthay Circle.
We’ll need to move ten people most mornings, I expect.
Carol’s truck should go to Fringe most days, even though it only seats two. I suspect we’ll want it for emergency supply runs.
I think Phil and Libby will want to drive most days, and I think they are getting a vehicle big enough for four.
The remaining four at Carthay can go in David’s vehicle, as I think it is the best back up for supply runs.

Like all the other lists, please take this as me thinking out loud and looking for the input of much more focussed and far sharper minds. These aren’t rules or guidelines, they’re thoughts roiling through my mind with ten days to go before we start.

List 2: Accommodations

June 28, 2008

Lee @ 6:36 pm

Truth be told, I expect this list to change every night. Right now this list is as much for our hosts (my parents; Amy and her roommate) as anything.

As well, I need to try and get an idea of whether or not we have tents covered for everyone camping at my folks.

23E Studios offices, Carthay Circle - spare room 1:
libby
phil

23E Studios offices, Carthay Circle - spare room 2:
jonny
erin

23E Studios offices, Carthay Circle - KOA:
lee
alex
stel
carol
david
keturah
the tent situ is that I am borrowing one from my sis. She thinks it holds 4 people not so comfortably.
Do other folks have tents we can use?
Alex, Ket, CAM, David?

23E Studios offices, Boyle Heights:
skye
amy
carson
elise
marcella

Jackie, our brave usherette, arrives on July 19th and will be staying at Carthay Circle, probably the 19th in the living room, if she doesn’t mind. After which she will be in her own room.

List 1: Responsibilities

June 28, 2008

Lee @ 6:17 pm

Hi all, so this is not a list of your responsibilities coming down from on high.
It is more me trying to make sure I do not miss anything. I do that by making lists and trying to understand where and how the items on the list are to be fulfilled.
These lists are not instructions, so much as a call for your assistance in letting me know what I might be overlooking or who I may be overextending.
Truth be told I don’t expect any of the list breakdowns to be this seamless and clean. We’ll all be helping each other as needed, I hope.

You will note I am not listed here. I am operating under the assumption that I will be helping with everything sooner or later. Mostly I expect to be building with C&D the week of. Or deflecting guests who want to slow them down.
